Hint Of A Tint followed up on her win in the Tote Mile at Galway as she landed the Tote Irish Cambridgeshire to provide her jockey Fran Berry with a quick double (won the previous contest on Bocca Baciata .
The five-year-old daughter of Danehill Dancer landed a gamble to win at Galway and she didn't go unsupported today.
Available at 16/1 last night she opened on-course at 11's before going off a 10/1 chance in the colours of Sue-Ann Foley (nee McManus).
Settled in mid-division, she travelled strongly behind the leaders from two furlongs out.
She was ridden as they entered the final furlong and she soon hit the front, going on to score by a length and three parts.
The 9/2 favourite Portage who was 7/1 last night, finished second under James Doyle for Mick Halford while Bold Thady Quill (25/1) was a further half a length back in third under Sean Corby for Ken Condon. Champagne Or Water (16/1), who lead for most of the contest, completed the placings a further length back in fourth under Billy Lee for Willie McCreery.
Frank Berry, racing manager to the McManus family, said afterwards: "That was lovely. She did it nicely and travelled away well.
"Obviously she loves a little bit of ease in ground and she won well in Galway as well. You couldn't ask for better. Those are two nice races to win with her.
"She lost her way a bit last year and David has done a great job getting her back to form.
"She'll probably stay in training next year."
