Star Performer Dusty doubles up
Shane Foley, not long back in action after breaking his collarbone and ankle in a fall at Bellewstown in August, registered a 129/1 double as Solo Performer added to his earlier win on Banna Boirche in the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Handicap at Dundalk.
'Dusty' as he is known to all and sundry, came from off the pace on both his winners and Solo Performer pulled out enough in the final furlong to prevail by a neck from Redera
Harry Rogers trains the 25/1 shot Solo Performer, gaining his third course win, and he said: "He likes a fast run race which doesn't happen very often. The plan was to sit in if they went quick and things worked out as they went so fast.
"We'll settle for that with him – a second win in the year. There is another mile and a half handicap for him here on the last night (December 10th) and he has been a good old servant. Shane was good on him - he is a good little rider."
