The winner had finished five lengths behind his stablemate on his debut at Leopardstown, but made all this time for a very easy victory.

Aidan O'Brien, who trains both, said: "Roderic O'Connor had a lovely run the first day and is obviously a very smart horse. He was given an easy time in front, he jumped off and no one followed him."
