The 6/4 favourite Pussycat Lips ran out a comfortable winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction 2yo Maiden for her trainer Tommy Stack with Billy Lee in the saddle.
The daughter of Holy Roman Emperor ran well on her debut at Naas in June where she finished a close third behind winner Lightnin Hopkins and runner-up Strapless who she reopposed today.
Her debut run came over six furlongs and stepped up to a mile this evening she reserved the form with Strapless as she raced prominently throughout, hit the front over two furlongs out and went clear over a furlong out to record a three and a quarter length success.
The Dermot Weld trained Cool Metallic finished second at 5/1 under Pat Smullen while Strapless could only manage third at 9/4 a further two lengths back under Kevin Manning for Jim Bolger.
Winning trainer Tommy Stack said afterwards: "I was a bit worried about the ground as she would be better on good ground.
"I walked the track when I got here and I couldn’t believe how good the ground was. It’s certainly good jumping ground and it’s a credit to them here as they do great work on the track."
The winner was purchased as a yearling for just £6,000 Sterling at the Doncaster Premier Yearling Sale in September of 2011 by John O’Byrne.
