Art Of Logistics gave his long odds-on supporters more than a few scares when justifying 2/9 favouritism in the opening E10 Admission Rated Chase at Punchestown today, scoring for Dessie Hughes and jockey Mark Enright.
The son of Exit To Nowhere was behind both Back To Balloo and Loosen My Load when blundering at the fifth last fence and from there was under pressure to close on the pair.
Enright eventually got the gelding into a challenging position and while he moved to the front approaching the final fence, a slow jump at that obstacle didn't help. On the run-in though Art Of Logistics found some more and eventually recorded a length win over Loosen My Load.
Afterwards Hughes stated “he got there under sufferance and Mark said the ground rode dead on him – he wants quick ground like it was the last day.”
“He made a very bad mistake and he was nearly off. That broke his confidence and he had to work hard to get there. We'll give him an entry in the Galway Plate and see.”
