Course and distance winner Dew Line returned to Listowel to run out a well-backed winner at 11/2 (from 8s on track and bigger earlier) of the Seamus Mulvaney Handicap.
Declan McDonogh had been denied in second on In My Pocket in the preceding race, but he wasn't for beating in this mile one heat on Mick Mulvany's Dew Line.
Owned and bred by Thomas Cooke, Dew Line had just Bobby Jean to contend with from a furlong and a half out and she eventually got the upper hand by two lengths.
There was eleven lengths back to Hidden Oasis in third, but there was no living with the all-the-way-victor.
"She likes the Kerry air! I've not been happy with her all year and it's the first time we have got her right," acknowledged Mulvany.
He added: "I gave her six weeks off in the middle of the season, and the last day at the Curragh she needed the run badly.
"She is in again here on Friday but I'll have to talk to the owner and see how she is."
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Knockmaole Boy trained by J.H. Culloty, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.
