Mullins/Walsh take opener at Punchestown

The opening race this afternoon at Punchestown, The Panoramic Restaurant Beginners Chase was won by the Willie Mullins trained Equus Maximus ridden by Ruby Walsh and owned by the Greenstar Syndicate.

Winning trainer Mullins said afterwards, "We will probably go for a winner's of one with him in a few weeks time. This horse has always been liked but hasn't quite fulfilled the promise he has shown in his bumpers. We will keep him over this sort of trip."
