Primo Uomo blitzed his rivals from the front to land the opening sprint handicap at Dundalk this afternoon.
Dean Curran bounced out in front on the nine-year-old, who was making his first start since July, in the five furlong contest.
Ger O'Leary 's charge had his rivals at work passing the two pole and had enough up his sleeve in the closing stages to hold the challenge of Ecclesiastical by three-parts of a length.
The 9/1 winner has won twice over course and distance previously and the top-weight was running off 88 today having had a career high mark of 106.
It was a third career winner for Curran who will have his claim reduced to 7lb.
O’Leary, “He’s been in great form for the last two weeks and Dean gave him a superb ride. He just wasn’t right in himself for a while but he’s back now.
“I thought he might need the run but the 10lb was a huge help. Dean is based with me and his father, Paddy, breaks the horses in for me.”
