Cleere seen to good effect
The Mace Northern Ireland Champion Apprentice Handicap was won by President Dan trained by John McConnell and ridden by Michael Cleere.
John McConnell said, "It's my 3rd winner around here, I love coming up here there is always a great atmosphere. The horse will go to the Sales at Doncaster next month."
Michael Cleere who is apprenticed to David Wachman is originally from Killenaule Co Tipperary is enjoying a good season recording his 8th winner of the season this afternoon.
