Cisco Disco stayed on well to take the spoils in the first division of the Peggy Guerin Memorial Handicap at Roscommon.
He had finished runner-up over a similar extended seven furlong trip at this track just under three weeks ago but made no mistake today.
He made progress under Ronan Whelan and the pair came through with a winning challenge over a furlong out.
They stuck to their task and came in three parts of a length to the good at 6/1. Kojin finished well on handicap debut for second at 12/1. Kadupul was another length and three quarters back in third at 28/1.
Jockey Ronan Whelan said: “He's off a mark that he can be very competitive off.
“I thought when I got here that the ground might be a shade quick for him but if anything I thought he absolutely flicked off it.
“That gives Jack (Davison) and the team a few more options as he doesn't necessarily need it soft and he will go further.
“He obviously likes it around here as he had a really good run here the last day.
“Once he stays in and around the right mark there is no reason why he can't win again. Jack has done a great job of keeping him sweet.”
