Annie Other got off the mark over fences in good style when claiming the beginners chase at Wexford.

Jack Doyle, riding for his father Pat, kicked on before the straight on the 11/8 shot and the result was soon in no doubt.

The Bob Back mare galloped on strongly in the closing stages to record an eight-and-a-half length victory over 50/1 shot Carrig Cottage

The winner had chased home Great Oak on her previous start here in June and that form was franked at Tipperary last Sunday.

"She deserved that and the form of her race the last day has worked out well," said Doyle.

"We'll keep it low key at the moment and hopefully she'll go for some of the graded races at Tipperary and Roscommon later in the year.

"She needs it like the road. That's four wins now and she's a well-bred mare.

"Her owner's (Elizabeth O'Leary) husband Jim is my farrier and has been with me for 26 years.

"In fact he's with me longer than the wife as I'm married 25 years!"

The winner's task was made easier by the first fence fall of even-money favourite Rising Time
