I think he's back to himself. He did what he probably should have done at Christmas. He strode out a lot better and jumped a lot better but I think he could still jump a lot better. He didn't jump as well as he did first time at Navan. It was a very good test. Probably in reality it was a match. The other horse (Real Steel) is rated 140 and has mixed it with the best novices. He put it up to him the whole way down the back and coming to the ditch and yet he was able to shrug him off and go away. I'm happy he's back to himself and think there is more to come. I think it was just a little muscle problem at Christmas. He appeared fine the day before when I left for Kempton but by the time he came to the racing he wasn't right. Two or three days later he was fine. Obviously he'd had a race and made a mistake so he was a little stiff but he came out of the race normally. I said to Ruby today to make sure he was warmed up plenty but he had rode him in a good bit of work since Christmas and was happy with him. We'll see what Un De Sceaux does now. If he does what he looks capable of we'll try and keep them divided. I'll have to see what the other horses do also and talk to the owners. This fella can go out in trip easily or go back. There is a lot of time between now and Cheltenham. He came back here to get back on track. At this stage I wouldn't think he would run again.

Willie Mullins .he jumped well and it's nice to see him pass his first test. I don't think he could have jumped any better. The fourth last was the only fence he got a bit close to and I'd give him the benefit of the doubt because of the sun; for a novice he handled it well. Ruby asked him after the second last and I was delighted the way he jumped the last after changing gear. I've no plans yet for his next run.

we were concerned that there might be no pace and I said to Ruby if there was no pace not to be afraid to make it but that was Plan B! He took it though and he jumped well in front and I'm very happy with him. He did it the hard way and made the running for The Tullow Tank and everything else and they had their go at him and he just galloped away. I'm still happy to go for the Supreme Novice and they'll go a fair clip in that on better ground and he won't need to make his own running. It looks like he stays and will gallop up that hill and wasn't stopping there; I'd consider him for the Neptune Novice but I've other horses in mind for that race.

he idled going to the last and fiddled it but when Paul asked him he felt he had plenty in the tank. He pulled hard which used up petrol but as he goes up in grade, they'll go faster which will help. He'll come on from that and I loved the way he fought back when he looked beaten.

That's what he was showing at home. We think he's a very good horse and we'll probably look for something over Christmas for him now.
