He's a grand old horse and when he gets to a mark of 65 he normally does well enough,. I wanted to go to Limerick but he was balloted out. I would have preferred to go there but I have to be happy now as it's worked out in his favour. Gary gave him a great ride. The boys had a few quid on so everyone is happy.

It probably wasn't a great race but he's been a good horse for us. He's had lots of wind trouble but had it done and that's his first run on soft ground with 'fresh' wind; he didn't go on soft ground in the past when his wind was bad.

He normally goes off like a headless chicken when he's in front and the pace today was crucial as he could settle him. He's had wind trouble so it's great that he stuck it out. There's no race on the Flat in Galway for him off his rating and that's why we came here. Everybody is keen to go to Galway and he'll probably go for a hurdle there now.

He might go to Galway. There are very few mile races around for him. I have to thank Joseph O'Brien who said he needed to drop back to a mile as he was a bit free. I think he might not have been the strongest finisher the last few years but maybe he might have improved a bit.

He's tough and runs himself into the ground. He was too free with Joseph and will be better going right-handed back on turf.
