That's great. We were worried coming into this year that she was so highly rated, had she any business, but we were happy with her first few runs,.

That surprised me as I thought it was a competitive handicap but Wayne said she travelled all the way and on that ground she was well able to quicken. Her best runs have been on soft ground but she’s won on good as well. She’s taking it all in her stride and it’s amazing how much she has improved. We might give her one shot at a Listed race in Naas in a fortnight’s time. When a filly is in form you never know. The horses are healthy and well and she has been the flagbearer and led them along. I ride her out myself every day and her work has improved out of the way from every run. She has a great temperament and is very relaxed. She does what she has to do on the track, the ideal horse for a lad like me!

I can't believe how much she has improved all year long. She started out rated 50 and in the past month has improved a stone and a half - for a six year old mare I can't believe it but her attitude is right. Today was her most impressive and everything came in her favour, with the ground and stepping up to 1m1f has been a help. Sean has won three times on her and has had five wins from eight rides for me but it is a pity he is suspended for the rest of the season. I had no runner for four months last summer as the horses just weren't right. That definitely helped though as they had an idle year, got dropped without running and we started our year with all our horses rated 50!. They are healthy this year and weren't last year. They weren't coughing - it wasn't a lung thing but their systems just fell apart and couldn't take work. Because they weren't healthy, they were out in the field most of the summer and we have continued that. It has been an amazing month.

I'm delighted with that, I was very sweet when I saw the rain as she handles a cut in the ground,. She's a lovely honest filly, she always runs her race. We'll give her an entry in Galway, if there is a 0-70. Galway would suit her if she got in. Sean gave her a smashing ride, he said they were going plenty quick enough so he took his time and she saw it out well.

She did that nicely and it was a good while coming. She always showed ability so we persevered with her and hopefully it will pay off now. I thought she was working very well the last couple of weeks. She’s a bigger, stronger mare and did things right today. She could go for something similar in Killarney.
