she's run a few good races but a lot of the time they haven't been going quick enough and she's run very free and takes a lot out of herself. She goes to Leopardstown for the mares handicap hurdle at the Dublin Festival meeting next month. She ran well at Leopardstown at Christmas but she was too free and was getting too much daylight. Philip (Meade, part owner) is no relation but he's from the next parish and has a huge business supplying potatoes and vegetables to the likes of Lidl and Aldi.

she’s only around 15.1hh but is gutsy and I was very impressed because of what happened at the second last and had to come around the outside. She is quite ‘pooped’ (tired) after it and will need plenty time before her next run. I’d say a bigger track would suit her better as she’s small and isn’t able to take that bumping around on small tracks. Fair play to her, she has an engine but we can’t get her to just drop the bridle and settle at home. She has run five times, and won four now and you’d love to think she could be good enough to run in the Mares Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham. Next, we’ll give her a month or six weeks and see how we go from there.

I was hopeful enough but she is a bit small and weak and I thought the ground might catch her out,” . Nina gave her a brilliant ride, she kind of stole it. We'll probably look at a winners' bumper and leave her off for the summer.
