Reports in which Regulation (IRE) was mentioned
Mick Halford landed a double in the two most valuable races on the Dundalk card, both of them ridden by Shane FoleyFri 29th Nov
Those with an aversion to small fields would do well to take a look back on the Christmas Race & Dine Packages Handicap at Dundalk. The four runner affair served up a cracker as Michael Halford and Shane Foley doubled their score on the evening with Regulation.
Fri 29th Nov
Regulation just held off the fast-finishing Beyond Thankful to take the last at the Curragh today, the Irish Field Handicap, providing his trainer and jockey, Mick Halford and Shane Foley, with a double on the card (won the second with Russian Soul).
Sat 14th Sep
Johnny Murtagh gained his biggest success since turning his hand to training when Belle De Crecy landed the Lanwades Stud Blandford Stakes at the CurraghSat 14th Sep
It's hard to believe that Moran Gra (2nd in this 2 years ago) is only six as he seems to have been around for a lot longer and nobody was begrudging the tough campaigner his big win as he landed the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Irish Cambridgeshire under Ronan Whelan at the Curragh.
Sun 01st Sep
After winning his sixth Oaks thirty-five minutes earlier, doubling up in the process, Johnny Murtagh's day got even better as he completed a treble aboard his own Belle de Crecy in the Kilsaran International Handicap.
Sat 20th Jul
Money talks, and when one horse almost halves in price during the morning trading in a 23-runner handicap it’s worth noting.
Sat 25th May
Kevin Prendergast's Vastonea finished with a wet sail to land the most valuable race on the Gowran Park card, the Breeze Up At Gowran Park May 23rd HandicapWed 08th May
The trade paper made the point that Vastonea has a good record when fresh and the grey proved up to the task off a 199 day break in the Breeze Up At Gowran Park May 23rd Handicap.
Wed 08th May
Fran Berry landed a double under the Dundalk lights including the feature Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Package Handicap on David Wachman's well-backed gelding Hot BedFri 12th Apr
The Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Package Handicap was a well-contested race at Dundalk with several tumbling in price from morning trading. Hot Bed went from 9/1 into 5/1 on track and he got the job done under Fran Berry to bring up a double for the Kildare rider.
Fri 12th Apr
Just as the O’Briens were setting up a quickfire double at Killarney Wayne Lordan and Croi An Or got up on the line to pip short-priced favourite Learn by a head.
Tue 17th Jul
Owner Andrew Tinkler's Irish operation picked up a valuable dividend when the progressive three-year-old Ursa Major took the feature Derby Festival Irish Stallion Farms EBF Handicap at the CurraghFri 29th Jun
Massiyn's win in the Silken Thomas Handicap at The Curragh this evening helped his owner the Aga Khan, trainer Michael Halford and jockey Shane Foley complete doubles, arriving late to defeat the similarly owned Vedani by half a length.
Fri 29th Jun
The Sycamore Lodge Equine Hospital Maiden at The Curragh this evening went to the Michael Halford trained Regulation, under stable jockey Shane Foley, making a winning return to action after 236 days off the track.
Fri 29th Jun
The 11/4 favourite Takar almost certainly provided Johnny Murtagh (now four clear of Pat Smullen) with the Jockeys Championship as he ran out an impressive winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden over 7f.

The plan was to come here for a while. I'm hopeful he would make the team for Dubai but he needs to go up a few pounds. I think it would suit him. He's getting better and he's solid . I'd like to get him out there. He's been immature and babyish but there were no holes in him tonight and that's his trip,.

We've come out on the right side of two very close finishes today but you couldn't deny him that win. He was second in the Cambridgeshire and he ran some great races without winning. He likes having a bit of space and he did well to hold on as Shane had to commit a bit sooner than he wanted. If he went high enough in the ratings we might consider going to Dubai with him.

Regulation is a nice horse but was a bit slow to come to hand so we said we'd wait and give him more time. He's a laid back horse at home but he worked well early in the week. He went through the ground well today although I wouldn't have any worries about running him on good ground. Shane (Foley) said he got into the race so easy today and we'll step him up in class now.
