Great result. She's a very smart filly, probably one of the best fillies I've had, and that's her sixth win for me,. She was just treated a bit better on the turf than she was on the all-weather. Normally March time is her prime time to win but I had just been hitting walls with her and things weren't going right. I wasn't even confident of running a big race tonight I was just searching for some kind of spark back in her. Robbie seems to get a little spark out of her and she runs well for him. A lot of credit and praise has to go to Kenny McCrossan who looks after her every day. He does a great job with her and makes my job very easy. Where we go now I don't know because today was just about getting the run out the way and see where we are.

She won this race last year and is in great order, probably the best I've had her all year. She got checked a bit on the bend, and the horse in front was idling,. I've put her into a two miles amateur handicap next Friday. I got an amateur licence recently and may ride her myself. There are about 50 people in the Phoenix Bloodstock Syndicate all together, and ten of them in this mare. They are from all over the country, and the idea we had was to try and get people interested in going racing who otherwise would just stay in a betting shop.

We took the hood off as she was falling asleep and was giving away her chance of winning. She stood too long in the stalls the last day,” . We had a good draw for a change. She can run over different trips, and will go hurdling as she's schooling away. I think that's the thing with her to give her a bit of variety.

She's improved again and it was the right race to go for. There was no gallop early on but she showed her class by quickening up well.

She needed it the last day and I knew she had come on. The other filly I ran will also come on from that (Hallbeck, finished fifth),. Now I can concentrate on going hurdling as the two of them were bought as dual purpose fillies. It's a great bunch of lads who own them (Phoenix Bloodstock Syndicate) and I told them I fancied her as she had improved a ton. Now that she's won I'm going to buy a few more for them.
