I've very few runners this week. This comes that bit early for winter horses. We thought the ground was too soft for him, but with so few runners we decided to take our chance. He is still a novice over hurdles and fences so has plenty of doors open to him. He is improving all the time and has a real good jumping pedigree. I'm delighted fo the owner Mrs Marie O'Driscoll who has been an owner with me for a lot of years.

I must be some tipster as I was telling everyone he had no chance with the way he jumps,. Your man (Carberry) came down to school him yesterday morning and he would teach a horse more in one session than most would in a week. He jumped 15 fences yesterday morning. He was hestitant and getting in tight but after one or two today he was taking them on. I thought he would improve from today's run. He'll go to Listowel now for a novice chase.

I always though three miles was his trip but any time he's went past two-and-a-half he's disappointed so this could be his trip,. Since he's been running left handed he's got over his hanging problem. He could go over fences but we'll see. He has already run in a novice chase but jumped left. His pedigree is all chasing - he has a good pedigree. He may go to Killarney and is entered for a novice chase and a handicap hurdle there.

We tried him in blinkers and a different bridle today but he still hung left. I can't find anything wrong with his teeth or back, and will probably send him over fences now. He has schooled over fences and jumps well.
