Willie Mullins has his yard in top form ahead of Cheltenham next week and the festival’s 11-time Leading Trainer completed a Naas four-timer today, with 20/1 outsider Gaucher landing the Grade 3 Bar One Racing Kingsfurze Novice Hurdle.

Jack Kennedy survived having to sit out the final day of the season through suspension to claim his first Irish jump jockeys’ championship.

With second market choice Flanking Maneuver departing at the first it was left for 1/2 chance Tactical Move to beat two rivals in Grade Three Bar One Racing 'Extra Places At Cheltenham' Directors Plate Novice Chase. This he duly achieved at Naas, without overly convincing with his fencing or the manner of his victory.
Sun 10th Mar
After deploying front-running tactics to great effect on boss Willie Mullins' Olympic Man in the opener at Naas, Paul Townend was at it again in race two. Nine to four second favourite Fun Fun Fun, bred at Closutton as well, bolted up in the Grade Three Bar One Racing 'Guaranteed Overnight Prices' Kingsfurze Novice Hurdle.
Sun 10th Mar
Despite a very sketchy round of jumping Olympic Man (evens) ultimately stylishly put his rivals to the sword in the Bar One Racing 'Guaranteed Multiples All Shops' Maiden Hurdle at Naas.

Olympic Man isn’t becoming a good jumper but he’s getting good at being a bad jumper!. Even with his mistakes, he’s not losing ground and the only one really was when we were off-the-bridle going to the last where he lost a length. Once I galloped away from it, I always felt that I was picking Darragh (O’Keeffe on Foxy Girl) up. He was good and tough up the hill. I raced handily, but was trying to keep him even throughout: maybe in a staying handicap it won’t have as much pressure on his jumping.
