It was hard to know but I was happy with the way he was doing everything at home. It’s a pleasant surprise with the way he had been running before,. Those country fences suit him better than the bigger tracks. He’s not a huge horse. If I could resurrect some of his previous form he was entitled to win one of those. He’s (McInerney) full of confidence.

the trip suited him and the first-time visor also helped. The last day at Fairyhouse I got the impression he didn't kill himself but he carried him all the way today. Normally when you're chasing one of Willie Mullins' over the last (Urano) they don't come back but luckily he did and he stayed on well after that. He's not over big and he won't carry a huge amount of weight but hopefully he'll win another one.

It's tough conditions out there but he stays well and we'll probably look to go over three miles the next day. He doesn't really look like being a chaser and hopefully he'll win again over hurdles,.
