I was hoping he'd do that, and it was very similar to the way he won the Dan Moore. Davy thinks he's getting more relaxed. We'll stick to our plan, and he'll probably go to Fairyhouse for the Normans Grove and Punchestown (Champion Chase) after that. He's relaxing earlier in his races and Davy seems to have the key to him. He's four wins from four races around here, and that's his first Grade 2 win.

I had his mother and grandmother and it's great family and he's also related to Boston Bob and Briar Hill. He travels well but he was a bit disappointing a few times and didn't find a lot off the bridle in the past. He switched off early today though and when he does that he's a proper horse and I think the hood helped him finish out his race today. He deserved that as he's been running well all year and has never been out of the money. He's a Listed winner and Grade 2 placed so we'll aim pretty high next season.

I thought that was a good performance. He jumped like a real two mile chaser. I know he likes this place but he will have to go somewhere else now. He is in at Leopardstown or we might look at the Flyingbolt for him. We will step him up in grade and see what he can do.

I'm delighted with that, he looked a proper horse today. I thought the handicapper was a bit hard on him (went up fourteen pound for his win last time out) but he showed today that he is up to that class. It took him a while to settle and I was worried he wouldn't get home but he finished out the race well and got home. He goes on better ground and the ground doesn't seem to bother him. We will look to Fairyhouse and Punchestown now to take on the big boys. I'm still looking forward to next year as chasing is his game. He is progressing with every run.

He ran very well in the Boylesports Hurdle (at Leopardstown last month) and only for a mistake at the last he would have been placed,.

I nearly had three winners only for Fit The Cove (his Vasoni was runner-up in the last at Tipp) and it's great that this fellow finally got his act together. We'd been dropping him in and settling him but he wasn't finishing out his races. We just strode along with him today. He's a smashing horse and he has loads of ability. He's a real chaser. He'll possibly go for a novice hurdle in Galway now over two miles. We'll see how he is after this though. Martin rides out with me and he's a good rider. He doesn't get enough chances but when he does he's well capable of doing the job.
