Naas Wed, 25th Jun, 2014 (1st)
He was back down to a mark that he's competitive off. He's in again at the Curragh on Sunday and if he gets in he'll go again. Last year he was knocking on the door but was just a bit high. He's tough and honest and it's grand that he's back in the winner's spot. We fancied him today. I ran him in Tipperary but he doesn't quite get seven-and-a-half. He needs good to firm and I was praying on the way up here after the rain.

The ground really is the key to him. We've been waiting on good ground all year,. There's a race for him here at the end of the month and he'll come back for that as he likes it around here. I'd like to thank Jim Bolger for the use of his apprentice. Dylan gave him a great ride.

We fancied Lake George at Galway and again today and it's onwards and upwards from here as he is certainly improving. He'll go for either the Cambridgeshire or a big handicap on Champion Stakes Day at Leopardstown next. He'll definitely get a mile as Chris said he had a job pulling him up after the race.

We really fancied him the last day at Naas, but things didn't go well. He was out of the handicap here but we took our chance and its great to win at the Curragh. I had a runner at Kilbeggan yesterday evening and he pulled up, so it just shows you the ups and downs of the game. I have two flat horses and five jumpers in my yard at the moment.
