The hardest part was pulling him up!. He's done well all year but was just a bit stale last time so we gave him a break. He's been on the go since Dubai in January. He's a credit to the jockey as he's a pretty difficult ride. He only has two speeds and has to be led down to the start. He can also be a little prat in the stalls. We try to put him in last but it's not always possible. He's a tough character - like his trainer and jockey. We'll go for the Nunthorpe at York next and he'll probably run in the Prix de L'Abbaye. I'm not saying he'll win either but he's entitled to take his chance. Credit to Tipperary as today's race was a proper race. It was very very tough and it would nearly have been easier staying at home!. I don't know how he doesn't run at the Curragh on Sunday. There was a clerical mess-up.

He'll have next weekend off and go to the Curragh for the Group 3 Sapphire Stakes on Derby day. Then he'll go for the Nunthorpe Stakes and the Prix de l'Abbaye. He's a tough horse and we decided to give Ascot a skip and we have got two wins as a result of that. Adrian [Nicholls] gave him a great ride as he can be bloody keen but he locked him away in front. He only has two speeds; zero and flat out! He also has to be led down early. The time of 58.64 seconds was a good time on rain-softened ground.

He's just been very unlucky,. I've had him nearly two years and his owner Billy Hughes has been very patient. He's had every door shut in his face but in saying that it's meant he's well handicapped.
