Galway Mon, 31st Oct, 2016 (1st)
He jumped great today but just spent a little too long in the air jumping the two fences in the dip. He was 2lbs higher than he was when he won this race last year and I didn't look beyond today with him,.

his jumping is not much still and he spends too much time in the air. It is a long way from the bottom of the hill (to the line) and his class came out in the end but he had to be hard on him to win. He has never jumped fences with the same fluency as over hurdles and he still doesn't jump fences properly. I think he'll be a bit better on the spring ground.

It was a poor race I suppose. I actually thought he was in trouble passing the stands. I felt he was niggling him a bit.

He is not the easiest horse to ride. He tends to take a good hold and Barry got him switched off as well as he could. He will be much better in a better race and he will jump better as well. He will make a nice chaser in time.
