He did it super and jumped well. Mark was very good on him. He won last year in Naas on a little deeper ground and was very impressive and was unlucky in an Irish National. The ground was right and the trip was right. He ran a blinder in Scotland, and I always thought there could be a day like this in him.

It's great to start back with a win under his belt,. We thought he had a good chance in the Irish National but unfortunately he unseated. His form from Naas had been franked before that. He'll improve a bit off that and go back over fences now.

He jumps exceptionally well and that's his forte . deep ground and plenty of jumping. They are his ideal conditions,.

He did the job well and is a grand horse but all the hard work was done as I only got him last week. I knew the horse well as he was previously trained close by me. Chasing is his job, and he's entitled to run in a winners-of-one although that's a big step up. He's capable of going further.
