The wheels are definitely back on the bus. She ran first time out here this year and the ground came up soft but we thought we'd run her to take the freshness off but as we know in hindsight, it was totally the wrong thing to do. We brought her home and said we'd wait for high-summer when we're not guessing with the ground. It is a fair ask carrying 10st against older horses and was a Group performance. Her work has been telling us she could run in a handicap. We're absolutely chuffed and she's in all the early closing races - the Flying Five and races like that.

She's very fast and is probably the fastest two-year-old over five that's ran in the country so far. You can wipe out the last day when she had to travel over to Doncaster. There was wind in her face and it was a horrible day. She was buzzy with William (Buick) and he said she did too much early doors but today she nice and relaxed. I said to Colin beforehand that she was nice and quiet today and that's the way to have her and we'll be able to ride her today. To do that from 15, to get over, was a tough ask. There is still a bit of improvement in her as she was green in the last 150 yards, wandering about. She's in the Mercury but Ger will peak to Ed Sackville, racing manager for the owners, to see if we will stop now and train her for next year. We were delighted with that and she's done nothing wrong all year. There were excuses for a couple of her runs and when she got beat in Naas she was beaten by a proper horse of Ken Condon's (Miss Amulet).

I blame myself for her in Naas. The best horse won on the day but I didn’t train her for that race and we ran as an afterthought which you can’t do. She’s in the Ballyhane race at Naas next week. We’ll do the right thing by the filly and if she is absolutely squealing and bouncing she might turn up. The Flying Childers is another possibility in Doncaster but with the way Covid is I’d like to campaign her here.

She’s the fastest we have and was our Queen Mary horse if we had one. The plan was to go to Naas (for the Group 3 Coolmore Stud Irish EBF Fillies’ Sprint Stakes) next week with her and we held an entry here just to see how the race panned out. I said to Colin going out to be careful with the wind like that as she’s light and his biggest problem was going to be keeping her on the ground. I’ll hold an entry next Saturday. I don’t want to abuse her but she’s a two-year-old written all over her and if she’s fit and well will go to Naas next Saturday.

she's a lovely filly and we've always thought a bit of her. She's owned by new foreign clients, managed by Ed Sackville. Ed Sackville bought her at the sales (for 170,000gns at Tattersalls last October) and Ger was underbidder on her that day. He kindly sent her to us afterwards. She's been very professional from the word go and we knew she was an early type. Colin said she was very professional in the stalls, very professional throughout the race, and liked the ground. On that performance you'd like to think we'd go stakes hunting now. We'll stay at home and probably go to Naas next (Group 3 Juvenile Fillies Sprint on July 4th). She's very sharp and professional. We knew that and wanted to get her on to the track to prove it to us. We have a nice bunch of horses.
