He is definitely a much better horse than last year, he is way stronger. He missed the last two fences in Clonmel. We will probably go for the Lexus next, although it will depend on if we can get Paul, because we will probably only run him when we can have him. The step up to three mile will be no problem as he has got loads of stamina.

He is a fair horse on good ground and Paul said he won on the bridle. He never got that ground before in those good races. He seems to find another gear on it. He is in again at Navan on Saturday but he will hardly go there. He will probably go for the Grade 1 at Punchestown now. I'm delighted that Paul was on him as he has been riding for me for a long time.

Foildubh is a proper horse. Robbie Colgan (jockey) did all the hard work on him but we just needed a change. Paul Carberry was brilliant on him and probably being dropped out and the step up in trip helped. He is going out to grass now and we'll bring him back for the Kerry National (Listowel, September).

Foildubh goes for the big novice (Irish Racing Post Novice Chase) at Leopardstown over Christmas now and is well entitled to go for it. He'll appreciate better ground - I walked the track this morning and is was not as bad as I thought it would be. Robbie (Colgan) thought he could make a Grand National horse one day.

He'll go to Cheltenham now next month for a two mile six. That'll be my first runner there. He is a good novice - as tough as nails, with plenty of guts. He's the best horse I've ever had. Every time he's won he has beaten a Willie Mullins hotpot, that's the third time now!

He's a good little horse but has come back with a bit of a cut on his right fore leg. Hopefully he'll come out of this okay, and can win a few more races.

The was fantastic, i'm delighted for Gillian. This is a great little horse he was only broken this year. This horse came from Mick Aherne's who was tremendous family friend of ours who sadly died of liver cancer last year. The horse is named after his home place Foildubh so this win means a lot to us.
