There was a great battle from a furlong and a half in the Big Bad Bob Maiden at Dundalk. Appropriately enough it was a son of the Irish National Stud based stallion that prevailed, the Michael Halford-trained Crazy Tornado gaining the day under Conor McGovern. Fri 12th Feb

His penultimate run entitled him to have every chance. Last time they went a bit fast and it took him out of his comfort zone,. The 7lb claim made the difference between winning and losing, and Conor gave him a lovely ride. He just got a bit lonely in front.
