Since she won the Mares Hurdle at Galway last year we've had nothing else on our mind other that going back there for the Galway Hurdle this year. I hope the handicapper wont be too hard on her for that. She is a very honest mare who finds plenty without being asked too much. I'm really looking forward to Galway and she loves fast ground. All my life I have been waiting to train one for the Galway Hurdle and we are all set now. With her handicap mark and the experience she has I think she must have a great chance. I may also run her in the amateur race on the Monday there but we will see about that.

I think Clarach is a better mare this year and I wanted to win a Flat race with her for her broodmare status. The Galway Hurdle is the main aim for her now and whether she'll run before then, will depend on her. I think she'll get in off bottom weight in the Galway Hurdle, she a track winner and while she travels very well in her races, she sometimes can empty when she gets there.

Clarach is a grand mare but I was worried about the ground for her. That's the second mares' hurdle she has won, she won one at Galway last year and we might have a try at the Galway Hurdle now. She'll probably go for a Flat race before then and we're all anxious to have a shot at the big one!

That was the plan for a long time, we had it in our head's. I was afraid she wouldn't come up the hill as she does tend to empty. She was ridden into the race today and that's the way she will be ridden from now on. It help that there was two making a strong pace. Hopefully there is more to come with her. She is not a big filly but she is a cat to jump and may go over fences in time.

She went to England but we decided to bring her back as she didn't perform as well over there as I thought she would. She came back to me around Christmas time. She had a palate operation recently. I thought she would want the run today, but she is clearly best fresh.
