The ground is the key to him as he doesn't act on soft ground. We hope to go to Tramore now for another handicap hurdle (won a beginners chase at the Festival there in 2010). All the praise should go to Mary's (Greene) son Martin as he looks after him and does everything with him. He's a dream horse who cost very little and he is paying his way.

We have been waiting on that good ground for a while. It's the first time he's had his ground all season. He'll probably go to Galway now, and may go back for a chase at some stage as he's well handicapped over fences. He earns his oats every year.

the key to Bachelor Affair is the ground not being too soft but he wasn;t quite letting himself on the firm ground today. However, we had to take our chance here and we'll aim him at a winners of one race next, maybe at Listowel in September.

The owner, Mary Greene is an immediate neighbour and I'm delighted for the family. Martin, her son, rides him out every morning.
