Locally based restricted trainer Ger Mullins was on the mark in the Gowran Christmas Party Meeting 11th December Handicap Hurdle at Gowran today, when his Bachelor Affair left three previous runner-up runs behind to win under Tommy Treacy.
Afterwards Mullins, who trains “half a dozen” horses nearby at Duninga gallops, reported “Bachelor Affair ran a cracker at Clonmel the last day and was in excellent form coming here today.”
He added “as long as the ground stays fast, he'll keep running, but longterm he's a real summer chaser in the making.”
