he got there under sufferance and Mark said the ground rode dead on him . he wants quick ground like it was the last day. He made a very bad mistake and he was nearly off. That broke his confidence and he had to work hard to get there. We'll give him an entry in the Galway Plate and see.

It was a handicappers dream. He was meeting Mallowney at three pounds better for about three lengths. He preferred the better ground. He will come back here in three weeks for a similar type of race.

it was a good performance and he's a nice novice to have. It's very seldom we would have any two mile horses and I think he's a two-miler.

He go the job done. It was his first run over hurdles,. He didn't really race and was waiting for the hurdles to come up to him. It was a good performance as the second might not be too bad - I trained the dam. He went to the last like a winner but then idled and pricked his ears. I thought he was beaten for a couple of strides afterwards but he won really well in the end and the third horse was quite a bit back. He's a very big horse and is only four so hopefully there is room for improvement. He could run in a novice hurdle now at Christmas.

I'm not really a bumper man at all but it's nice to have two winners in two days. He was a cheap horse with a great pedigree and we bought him for €10,000 at the Derby Sale (June 2011). He is a proper horse and hopefully he will go on from this. He has always shown plenty of ability at home and he ran a hell of a race on his debut.
