Following on from Elimay (Mark Walsh) and Kemboy (Ruby Walsh) earlier, Willie Mullins moved on to the 201 winner mark for the campaign and completed a Punchestown treble in the Grade 1 Racing Post App Champion INH Flat Race For The Conyngham Cup.

Envoi Allen was made to work as he maintained his unbeaten record in the Grade 2 Matheson INH Flat Race at Leopardstown and gave trainer Gordon Elliott a treble on the card.

Aintree Thu, 8th Apr, 2021 (1st) 
I’d imagine he’ll stay hurdling next season, but we’ll have a chat about that later on. It was disappointing at Cheltenham. Everything seems to have worked out well and it’s great he could come here today and prove himself at this level again. He seemed perfectly fine after his fall. He came out of it really well so this was an option coming soon enough, but because he felt good we took the opportunity. He was second to Honeysuckle in the Irish Champion Hurdle and he won the Morgiana back in November so we were confident he was going to run well coming here. It was a step up in trip, but it really suited him. It’s a possibility he could go to Punchestown. We’ll take him home and see how he is after the run and see what the owners want to do.

I definitely knew he’d improve from Down Royal where he took a blow after the second last. He came forward from the run and he needed to in a race like that.

He’s got a bit of pace and we rode him for it. I’d say the hurdle flicked back at him going down the back (straight), but he’s professional enough and I’m happy with him. He’ll probably come back here in February. I’d say a bit better ground would suit him as he doesn’t bend his knee too much and just flicks across the top of the ground. When he got to the front he didn’t do a stroke again. He did exactly the same with Lisa O’Neill when he won a bumper in Galway. He’s a nice horse.

That's our 100th jumps winner of the season between England and Ireland so it's nice to get it in a graded race,. He's a nice horse. We thought a lot of him in bumpers last year and he ran a bit keen at both Cheltenham and Punchestown. He jumped well there today and Puppy liked him. Jack liked him the last day as well and he's probably another horse that will go to the Royal Bond in Fairyhouse now. Puppy said he was very quick getting away from his hurdles and he was very happy.
