The Raceday Stewards enquired into the riders first approach to the start. Evidence was heard from The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Boards starter Mr. J.R. Banahan who stated that P.T Enright had sat into his mount and broke into a canter approaching the start. Evidence was heard from P.T Enright who stated that he had had instructions to make the running on his mount who was keen. He further stated that he did not feel he had anticipated the start more than any of the other riders in the field. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards excepted P.T Enright's evidence and reminded him of his responsibilities to follow the instructions from the starter, in this regard.
