Permission was given for BLUE DU’GARD to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line involving the winner, Riviera Walk (IRE), ridden by Jonjo O’Neill Jr and Loch Brandy (IRE), placed second, ridden by Sean Quinlan.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Riviera Walk (IRE)’s placing as despite Loch Brandy (IRE) being carried off its intended line, Loch Brandy (IRE) appeared to lose no momentum and was always being held, with the winning distance being a head at the line.
O’Neill was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed Riviera Walk (IRE) to drift left- handed without sufficient correction causing Loch Brandy (IRE) to be taken off its intended line.
Following the race, Conor Rabbitt reported that Skinty Fia (IRE), which was pulled up, ran green and Tabitha Worsley reported that Crazy About Her (IRE), unplaced, ran too free.
