Permission was given for Symbol of Hope (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood and to be mounted in the chute and for CONNIE’S ROSE and Pepsi Cat (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Inside the final furlong, Cabeza De Llave (GB) , placed fourth, attempted a run between runners, when Pepsi Cat (IRE), placed second, shifted marginally left-handed, at the same time as the winner, Regal Envoy (IRE), shifted slightly right-handed, causing Cabeza De Llave (GB) to be denied a clear run and the rider taking a check off heels, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any runner.
Following the race, Robert Havlin reported that Cabeza De Llave (GB), placed fourth, was denied a clear run inside the final furlong.
