Premier D'troice (FR), which finished first in a dead-heat, appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Uttoxeter on 22 November 2020 where the gelding was pulled up.
Archie Watson’s representative’s explanation that Premier D'troice (FR) had benefitted from the change in tactics to being held up in the early stages on this occasion, as well as having appreciated a short break since its last run was noted.
Following the race, Sean Houlihan reported that Flowing Cadenza (GB), which was pulled up, made a bad jumping mistake in the back straight on the final circuit.
