An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approaching the line, when Going Underground (GB), placed second, ridden by Paula Muir and International Law (GB), placed third, ridden by Cam Hardie interfered with SHE’S GOT BOTTLE, placed fourth, ridden by Taylor Fisher.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Fisher was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placings of International Law (GB) or Going Underground (GB) as both runners had come from behind SHE’S GOT BOTTLE, who was held at the point of the interference approaching the winning line.
The Stewards ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
The interference was found to be accidental as approaching the line International Law (GB), lugged right- handed despite Hardie’s best efforts, at the same time Going Underground (GB) lugged marginally left- handed, which caused Fisher to take a check approaching the line.
Following the race, Paul Hanagan reported that Flight Command (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed and stopped quickly inside the final 3 furlongs.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post race examination of the gelding, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
