The Starter reported that Suspicious (GB) refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn at 8.
34pm.
Ralph Beckett was informed that the filly could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings following an objection from Oliver Stammers, the rider of Pons Aelius (IRE) to the winner Rushford (GB), ridden by Luke Morris on the grounds of interference on the run to the line.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Rushford (GB)’s placing as the interference occurred in the final strides, at a point where Rushford (GB) appeared to be getting the upper hand and going up on Pons Aelius (IRE), who lost little momentum as a result of receiving a slight bump.
The Stewards considered that the interference was accidental as Rushford (GB) lugged quickly right-handed, giving a slight bump to Pons Aelius (IRE).
