Marta Boy (GB) ran without its declared tongue tie as it came adrift when leaving the Parade Ring and was unable to be refitted.

Craig Lidster subsequently reported that in his opinion, the gelding’s performance was not adversely affected by running without its tongue tie.

Approaching 1½ furlongs out, Roydmoor (GB), placed third, edged slightly left-handed bumping with the winner, Ooh Is It (GB), causing both runners to become unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Following the race, David Probert reported that The Daley Express (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling and Sam James reported that Savalas (IRE), placed sixth, hung right-handed.

Hollie Doyle, the rider of Dream Game (GB), placed fifth, reported that the filly was denied a clear run for some distance approaching the 1 furlong marker, explaining that she had elected to follow the strong travelling SERAPHANITE (IRE), placed second, through wanting to come wide with her run to the outside which she thought would give her the clearest run to the line, in the belief that if she switched left at that stage of the race, her course would likely be met with a wall of horses as the pace collapsed.

However, when it became apparent that no run was materialising between SERAPHANITE (IRE) and Marta Boy (GB), placed eighth, on her outside, she belatedly decided to switch left in order to obtain clear running.
