An enquiry was held to consider why Blue Moonrise (GB), trained by David Evans, arrived in the Parade Ring without hind shoes.
The trainer’s representative was interviewed.
Having heard their evidence, Evans was fined £140 as he had not gained prior permission to run Blue Moonrise (GB) without a full set of shoes and given that there was insufficient time to re-shoe the filly, the Stewards withdrew Blue Moonrise (GB) from this race.
