Jumping the third-last fence, Mint Condition (GB), placed third, jumped right-handed at the same time as the winner The Bull Mccabe (IRE), jumped left-handed causing both geldings to bump.
Again when jumping the second-last fence The Bull Mccabe (IRE), jumped sharply left-handed giving a bump to Mint Condition (GB).
Finally, when jumping the final fence, The Bull Mccabe (IRE), jumped left-handed causing Mint Condition (GB) to stumble slightly, but after viewing a recording of all three incidents, it was found that no riding offences were involved and that they had not improved the placing of The Bull Mccabe (IRE).
Following the race, Adam Wedge reported that Beatthebullet (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling and Rebecca Curtis reported that the gelding ran flat.
The Veterinary Officer subsequently reported that a post-race examination of Beatthebullet (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Big Nasty (GB), which started favourite and finished second, lost its left-hind shoe.
