Permission was given for Mount Tahan (IRE) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend after the 1 mile start when Ayutthaya (IRE), which was later pulled up and dismounted, ridden by Kevin Stott interfered with Mount Tahan (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Shane Gray.
The interference was found to be accidental as the gelding had cocked its jaw becoming unsteerable around the bend, hanging badly right and carrying Mount Tahan (IRE) wide.
