Permission was given for Moe's Legacy (GB) to go early to post and Judge Frank (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line involving the winner, Judge Frank (IRE), ridden by Joshua Bryan and Moe's Legacy (GB), placed second, ridden by Cieren Fallon.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Judge Frank (IRE)’s placing as prior to giving MOE’S LEGACY two light bumps, Judge Frank (IRE) had appeared to get the upper hand when going a neck up on the filly, before moving right-handed towards the rail, thereby causing the interference.
Whilst there was contact between the two, the momentum lost appeared to be insignificant and Fallon did not have to stop riding.
The stewards further noted that MOE’S LEGACY got back to within a neck, but only in the final strides and without giving the impression that if the interference had not occurred that the filly would have got back up on Judge Frank (IRE).
Bryan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he made insufficient effort to prevent his mount moving right-handed giving two light bumps to Moe's Legacy (GB) which was carried off its intended line as a result.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Queen Jean (IRE), placed fifth, lost both right hind and right-fore shoes.
