An enquiry was held to establish the reason why there was a crossing point rail open on the bend turning into the home straight during this race.
They interviewed the Clerk of the Course who also acted on behalf of the Racecourse Executive.
Having heard his evidence, the Stewards ordered a report to be forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Daniel Muscutt reported that Oz Legend (IRE), placed second, became upset in the stalls.
Dale Swift reported that Madeeh (GB), placed eighth, was slowly away.
Andrew Breslin reported that Dark Company (IRE), unplaced, weakened quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
