The Stewards fined Rodger Sweeney, trainer, ?350 for lodging a passport in respect of Ineffable, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order
D.E. Mullins, rider of Golden Jewel trained by Edward Cawley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake at the second last hurdle
The Stewards received a request from P.J. Rothwell's representative Mrs Niamh Rothwell, trainer of Coherent, to allow the nominated rider J.W. Kennedy permission to ride at two pound overweight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed J.W. Kennedy permission to ride. However found J.W. Kennedy in breach of Rule 198 and suspended him for two race days.
