An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference after the final hurdle when Chosen Flame (IRE), placed second, ridden by Lorcan Murtagh interfered with No Regrets (IRE), placed third, ridden by Craig Nichol.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Chosen Flame (IRE)’s placing as the interference was only slight and he appeared to lose less momentum than the head he was beaten by.
The interference was found to be accidental as Chosen Flame (IRE) edged quickly left as the rider pulled his whip through, but it was quickly corrected.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Pammi (GB), placed fourth, had bled from the nose.
Sam Coltherd reported that Mill Island (IRE), unplaced, was hampered by a damaged hurdle at the final flight with a circuit to run.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Go Complain (GB), unplaced, finished with a wound to its left-hind.
