he rarely runs a bad race but for some reason he didn’t put his best foot forward in Galway — I couldn’t put my finger on it and was a bit worried coming here. Maxine gave him a brilliant ride and he was foot perfect all the way. They are a great syndicate (On The Green Syndicate) that own him and he is a great fun horse. An extended handicap steeplechase for five years old and upwards rated 0-116
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each steeplechase won.
Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules Top weight after the time of declaration shall not be less than 12st 4lbs and the minimum weight is 10st 7lbs Note The Rules and instructions relating to the Overnight Nomination of Riders shall not apply in this instance. The top 8 horses declared in race card order will be allocated riders from the selected British based and Irish based Riders team by lot. Trainers of any remaining horses in this race should declare a rider of their choice. The draw for riders will take place at 10.30 a.m on Sunday 13th November with the toss of a coin to determine which team draws odds or even numbers. Individual riders will then be drawn by ballot. Points will be scored by the first eight placed horses on a scale of 15-12-10-8-7-6-5-4, if the horse is eligible to score points, and the team that accumulates the highest number of points will be deemed the winner. In the event of there being less than 8 horses declared or a non-runner the equivalent rider in the opposing team eg. Nos. 1 & 2, Nos 3 & 4 etc., will not be eligible to score points.
