Permission was given for Revolut (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start when Fellowship (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Mr George Eddery, interfered with Stormingin (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Miss Georgina Gibson, who in turn interfered with Faithless Insomnia (GB), unplaced, Mr Frederick Tettt.
Being a 7lb claiming amateur, Miss Gibson was offered representation but declined.
Mr Eddery was suspended for 2 days for careless riding, on dates to be notified to him by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, as he shifted left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear carrying Stormingin (IRE) off its intended line causing Mr Tett to have to take a check.
Following the race, Mr Frederick Tett reported that his saddle on Faithless Insomnia (GB), unplaced, slipped.
