Having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
The winner, Cotswold Way (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Kempton Park on 12 January 2019 where the gelding finished eighth of fourteen, beaten 40 lengths.
Philip Hobbs’s representative’s explanation that this race represented a drop in class and Cotswold Way (IRE) was suited by being dropped in on this occasion, was noted.
Cotswold Way (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race Lorcan Williams reported that Capitaine (FR), placed second, ran flat and the Veterinary Officer reported that At Its Own Expense (IRE), placed third, lost its left hind shoe.
